1. Favorite slip® product?

It would definitely be a slip® zippered pillowcase. My Clients often rave to me about its benefits for both hair and skin. It also has some secret perks, like helping fake tan enthusiasts wake up without the dreaded blotchiness. Recently I have had a client who has used fake tan for a lifetime, say after switching from cotton to slip® pillowcases their tan is the best they’ve ever had it. Slip® seems to have cracked the code on beauty sleep!

2. What’s your secret to finding balance if at all?

Finding balance is a constant pursuit in my life. When working in a high-pressure environment, it's crucial to prioritise well-being. I love SoulCycle sessions with the amazing Manon Stieglitz. Not only does it offer amazing physical benefits but also empowers me with the freedom and positivity needed to conquer any challenge that comes my way.

3. Biggest pinch me moment in life so far?

I have been so fortunate to work with some of the most creative people in the world, so it's hard to narrow it down to just one experience. However, if I had to choose, I'd say collaborating with the legendary David Bowie stands out as a major pinch-me moment. It's not every day you get to work with a true icon and be part of something truly extraordinary.

4. Who is Josh at home?

I am exactly the same as Josh at work.

5. What do you want to be remembered for?

I want to be remembered for taking hair colour out of the basement and putting it front and centre, to the same level of recognition as hair stylists. I am also very proud of the people who have joined me on this journey towards reshaping the industry's perception of colour and celebrating the artistry behind it.

7. One beauty product you can't live without?

I am a massive fan of the Jo Loves Cobalt Patchouli & Cedar, it has a great woody scent. The second product I cannot live without is the Josh Wood Colour Miracle Mask, it is my go-to product when working with clients to help nourish and revitalise their hair. I recommend that my clients use it at least once a week to keep hair healthy and vibrant after colour. 

8. Favorite local restaurant in your hometown?

In my hometown, Oxfordshire, my favourite local restaurant is The Bull in Charlbury. The rustic charm never disappoints! When I am in London, my top pick is The Arlington. It is a home-from-home for creatives with delicious food, and friendly service. 

9. What is your morning ritual?

My morning ritual starts very early and I like to kickstart my day with either yoga, pilates or Soul Cycle. After this, it’s an English Breakfast tea and Highlights, all before 9 am.

10. What is something you are looking forward to?

We’re in the process of doing a really exciting redesign of my Atelier after a decade of being here. The team and I are putting our hearts and souls into transforming the space into something truly unique and unlike any other hairdressing salon out there. It's a project that we're pouring our creativity and hard work into, and I can't wait to see the final result.
